The Transamerica Annual Retirement Survey is now in its 22nd year. The survey comprises research among nationally representative samples of Americans and U.S. employers. It is one of the largest and longest-running of its kind exploring attitudes and behaviors about retirement security and the intersections of health and financial well-being across diverse groups of people in all walks of life -- workers, employers, retirees, family caregivers, and the general population in the U.S.

How to Claim the Saver's Credit

Only 49 percent of workers are aware of the IRS Saver's Credit, according to the 23rd Annual Transamerica Survey. This little little-known tax credit makes it more affordable for eligible taxpayers to save for retirement in a 401(k), 403(b), or similar employer-sponsored retirement plan; a traditional or Roth IRA, or an ABLE account.

How to Claim the Saver's Credit

Fewer than half (48 percent) of U.S. workers are aware of a tax credit that may help them save for retirement, according to the 22nd Annual Transamerica Retirement Survey. Also referred to as the Retirement Savings Contributions Credit by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), the Saver’s Credit is available to millions of eligible taxpayers who are saving for retirement.
